 FG gives counter offer to ASUU next week to ending strike

The Federal Government of Nigeria has explained why it rejected that the Professor Nimi Briggs Reports.

Speaking through Arise TV, monitored by TEAM PLATO REPORTS. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige explained that the proposal submitted only caters for the needs of ASUU alone, leaving out other workers of the Universities which are NASU, SSANU, NAAT. Ngige emphasized that the reports only carries the burden of ASUU and Ministry of Finance, National Income, Wages and Employment and other parastatals concerned are excluded in the meetings.

He posited that there will be counter offer that will be provided to ASUU next week, He said they have gotten the reports submitted, They will pass it to the President to sign and then pass it to ASUU, NASU, SSANU that this is what is available for them.
